Ride 'n Walk Dog Car Seatbelt Harness

"My dog is 44 pounds and it works great on her. She even helps me to put it on her by placing her paws in the openings. It is simple to put on and take off. It keeps her safe on the back seat when in the car, and she can still sit up and look out the window, but keeps her confined enough for her safety. The loop where the car's seat belt goes through is big enough so she has the freedom to either sit up or lay down, and you can even use it as a handle or short leash. Our Veterinarian and the staff always makes positive comments about using a seat belt for our dog(s). It shows you really care about their safety. We have used our harness for over 3 years now and it has held up beautifully. Still looks brand new. Highly recommend it."

"A dog seatbelt is a must-have for all dog owners. Even if the only place you go to is the vet. We have two labs and each has their own harness. We leave it on when we get out of the car and attache the leash to it. When our vet saw it, he said that he wished all pet owners would use a seatbelt. We always use these when riding in the car. the seatbelts keep them from wondering around the car which is dangerous to everyone on the road. Also, it protects them in case of an accident. Our 14-year old lab has arthritis and isn't always able to balance well while the car is moving. We did have to slam on the brakes once and the harness kept him from falling into the floor-board. His front shoulders went off the edge of the seat but he remained on the seat. We were so glad that he was wearing it. He could have easily broken a leg. We also use this harnes with our young lab when walking on a leash instead of attaching to the collar. Because it is secured around the chest I actually have more control over our dog. He doesn't pull and choke like they do on the collar. And, if he doesn't obey my vocal commands I can actually pull him back pretty easily with a tug on the leash. In rare occasions that we have been around some dogs that were "challenging" our dog. We can just reach down and grab the strap where the seatbelt goes through and walk him right at our side. He makes me proud to see how well he behaves when we do this. The harness makes it safer in the car and gives a good way to hold onto them when they need to be controlled physically."

Just to let everyone know, this is a GREAT brand of dog harness - better than what you'll find elsewhere. I have this dog harness, and it's extremely durable. It's a bit confusing to put on at first, but it's well worth it in the end.
